Welcome! I'm Dre Meller.
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist | Neurodiverse Couples Specialist
💛 I Don’t Just Understand Neurodivergence—I Live It
I’m AuDHD (autistic + ADHD), so neurodivergence isn’t just something I support professionally—it’s the rhythm of my everyday life.
I’ve spent over two decades in partnership with my autistic spouse, and we’re raising four neurodivergent children together, ages 6 to 30. Our family dynamic is rich with sensory sensitivities, hyperfocus, executive function adventures, and creative workarounds.
This lived experience is the heartbeat behind everything I do. I know what it feels like to crave connection but constantly hit invisible walls. I also know the deep beauty that can emerge when you stop trying to "fix" your brain and start honoring how it’s built.
I’ve walked through the pain of divorce, navigated the complexities of co-parenting and blended families, and rebuilt a home where all neurotypes are welcome. It’s not always easy, but it’s real—and I bring that hard-won insight into every session and every retreat moment.
⏳ Sometimes, 50 Minutes Just Isn’t Enough
For many neurodiverse couples, traditional weekly therapy sessions are too short to make meaningful progress.
You might just start getting to the heart of something—and suddenly the session is over.
That’s why I offer customized formats like 90-minute sessions, two-hour deep dives, or multi-hour intensives. These longer sessions give you room to slow down, explore, and reset your patterns at a pace that actually works.
And the best part? We can do all of this virtually. No traffic. No fluorescent waiting rooms.
Just you, your partner, your sensory-friendly space, and real, transformative work—right from home.
🌿 Therapy That Fits You—Not the Other Way Around
At our retreats, therapy isn’t just sitting in a circle and talking.
We explore what healing looks like when you get to move, stim, take breaks, or dive deep into a hyperfocus rabbit hole without judgment.
-
I pull from tools like Brainspotting, IFS, EFT, and somatic therapies—but none of it is one-size-fits-all.
-
Whether you’re processing burnout, navigating relationship friction, or parenting in a world that wasn’t built for your family, we’ll tailor our approach to your sensory, emotional, and relational needs.
This is a space where you don’t have to mask, translate, or explain yourself. You get to come exactly as you are.
💬 Helping Neurodiverse Relationships Thrive
If you’ve felt the sting of miscommunication or emotional disconnect in your partnership, you're not alone.
Many neurodiverse couples struggle not because of a lack of love, but because of different operating systems.
I support partners (monogamous, polyamorous, queer, straight—you name it) in moving from friction to flow, frustration to understanding.
My work is:
-
Non-pathologizing
-
Neurodivergent-affirming
-
Sex-positive
-
Queer-inclusive
We’ll work together to build communication strategies, emotional safety, and connection that honor both partners’ wiring.
🔥 Burnout Recovery Retreats—Custom Recovery for Neurodiverse Minds
Burnout isn’t just feeling tired—it’s hitting a wall built from years of pushing beyond your sensory, emotional, and mental limits.
Neurodivergent burnout requires more than standard self-care advice; it needs space, understanding, and a personalized approach.
In our customized virtual retreats, we create a gentle, supportive environment designed around your unique burnout experience. Whether it's related to work pressures, parenting demands, relational stress, or the cumulative toll of masking and sensory overload, I’ll help you:
-
Slow Down Without Guilt
Break the cycle of chronic overwhelm by giving yourself permission to rest deeply, reconnect with your body's cues, and honor your energy fluctuations.
-
Identify and Soothe Overwhelm Triggers
Using Brainspotting, somatic therapy, and compassionate self-exploration, we'll map out what consistently drains you and build practical strategies to mitigate and manage these triggers.
-
Establish Sustainable Rhythms
We'll collaboratively design realistic daily routines, boundaries, and coping strategies that align with your neurodivergent wiring—not against it.
-
Reconnect with Your Authentic Self
Through Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), you'll dismantle internalized ableism and learn to celebrate rather than suppress your neurodivergent identity.
These burnout retreats are a compassionate pause button—a chance to reclaim your life at your own pace, with a therapist who deeply understands what you’re going through.
🔥 Burnout Recovery That’s Rooted in Compassion
Burnout in neurodivergent folks is real—and often misunderstood. It's not laziness or poor time management. It's the body saying, "I can't keep surviving this way."
We’ll slow things down, identify the overwhelm triggers, and create new rhythms that respect your energy, your needs, and your brain.
My trauma-informed work includes:
-
Brainspotting & CRM – for nervous system regulation
-
Somatic Therapy – for body-based healing
-
Narrative Therapy & IFS – to untangle internalized ableism and self-doubt
👨👩👧👦 Raising Neurodivergent Kids—While Being One
Parenting when you’re neurodivergent is its own marathon—and raising neurodivergent kids while managing your own sensory and emotional bandwidth? That’s Olympic-level. I've lived it.
Whether you're navigating meltdowns, IEPs, sibling dynamics, or your own burnout, I offer practical strategies and deep empathy.

🎯 Neuro-Informed Trauma Work
Many neurodivergent folx have trauma related to masking, rejection, or living in a world that doesn’t accommodate their needs.
Brainspotting offers a trauma-sensitive, neurodivergent-affirming way to process emotional overwhelm, burnout, and past trauma.
Brainspotting sessions can help:
-
Reduce sensory and emotional overload
-
Improve self-regulation and nervous system balance
-
Process trauma in a non-verbal, body-based way
If traditional therapy has felt overwhelming or ineffective, Brainspotting might be the missing piece.
